Terms and conditions
Booking
& Payment of your cookery course
or workshop. Booking and
payments for courses have to be
made at the same time on this
web site, using Pay Pal secure
payment, ring direct to
07889808749 or request a PayPal
invoice. Deposits can be made
for courses and workshops but
payment in full must be made
before the course or workshop
starts unless otherwise agreed.
If full payment is not made
deposits cannot be refunded.
Vouchers purchases can be used
to book a cookery course,
workshop or demonstration up to
one year from the date of issue.
Cancellations/transfers –
Cancellations have to be made in
writing to Harmony House Cookery
School, The Green,
Stillingfleet, York, YO19 6SH,
within the 7 day period (E mails
will not be accepted). After
this, Course bookings are non
refundable.
Once the booking is made and
confirmed the place on the
course is allocated to you.
Transfers to another course will
only be made at the discretion
of the management and subject to
an administration charge.
Within 14 days of the course
date you cannot transfer
your place to another course and
will be liable for full payment
of the course fees unless a
suitable alternative person is
found to fill your place. If you
provide a person to take your
place we will not apply the
transfer charge. Until the
original place has been filled
your new booking cannot be
confirmed as you are still
responsible for the original
place booked
Accommodation bookings
will be bound by the terms of
Harmony House York. A £30 non
refundable deposit will be taken
for the rooms at the time of
booking and
In the unlikely event that we
have to cancel a course we
will endeavour to offer a
suitable alternative. If this is
not possible you will be
entitled to a full refund
Special needs and dietary
requirements – Please inform
us at time of booking of
anything, which may affect your
participation in, or enjoyment
of the course. Please note that
if you have a nut allergy we do
use nuts and nut products at the
Cookery school
Health and Safety –
Cooking requires the use of heat
and sharp utensils so there is
inevitably a risk of accidents.
To minimise this risk we ask
that you dress appropriately for
all our courses. This especially
applies to suitable non-slip
footwear non-open toe footwear.
We accept no liability for
personal injury, or any loss of
or damage to personal property.
Please do not smoke at Harmony
House.
Conduct – We reserve the
right to ask any student to
leave without reimbursement of
fees if their behaviour is
unsafe or unreasonable in any
way.
