For those who can cook, but want to increase their repertoire. Dishes will include choux pastry, double baked soufflés, salmon mousse, roast pepper and tomato sauce. chicken breast rolled with ham & leek mousse, paprika pork, crème brulee, lemon meringue roulade,

Friday 10th No places available
Simply Cook: Bread making with light lunch 10 – 2pm £65 or 2 for £120

Make your own bread loaves, buns, plaits and then create speciality breads of your choice with a variety of savoury or sweet fillings, Foccaccia, soda bread, Stromboli, gorgonzola and walnut, spinach, garlic and parmesan, chilli, olives and tomato, Chelsea buns, fruit or cinnamon twists or honey bread, Danish pastries and brioche and doughnuts make this bread course different to the others. Combine it with a baking day and stay overnight from £35 per person
 

Saturday 11th
Simply Cook - afternoon tea party £65 or 2 for £120 No places available

Baking and re creating homemade cakes and pastries with a touch of nostalgia. Lemon drizzle cake, sponge drops, maids of honour, Battenberg, Swiss roll, Milles feuilles Devonshire scones, chocolate brownies, Victoria sandwich or sponge with fresh strawberries and cream, coffee & walnut cake, orange ginger bread, shortbread biscuits. Share and take home.

Learn to make sponges and pastries together, a selection from pies, patties and quiches, roulades, sponge drops or cupcakes

Saturday 1st
Simply Entertain – Summer dinner parties 10.30 -4.30pm £95 or 2 for £180 including a three course lunch

With a selection of recipes including, Three tier fish terrine, asparagus soufflé pork paprika, salmon en papilotte with julienne of vegetables and hollandaise sauce, Limon cello yoghurt ice-cream with tuilles individual berry and cassis puddings, rippled fruit meringues

Friday 7th
Simply cook –cooking for men - 10 – 2pm £65 or 2 for £120

A new workshop! Learn the basics on how to cook a meat and vegetable meal, together with a couple of desserts. Learn how to cook casseroles and sautés as well as roasts and chops
Beef stroganoff or bourguignon, pork chops with a seasonal stuffing and chicken filled with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon. Followed by either delicious Bakewell tart, apple pie, or a fruit crumble. Your visit finishes with sharing lunch, from what you have cooked, in the conservatory.
 

Wed 12th Herbs & Hedgerow with History and health properties 10.30 – 2pm £40 with lunch and a special joint demonstration with Alison Turnbull of Gorse Farm
We will be demonstrating and making a selection of soups, salads, soufflés, scones and savoury choux! All made using herbs and hedgerow foods. These include spinach, loveage, wild garlic, watercress, nettle and wild mint, dandelion crusted pork and rowan jelly, rosehip cream and elderberry jelly. Followed by a talk on herbs, their history and health properties. 'One of the best cottage gardens 'Visit Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens open today.'

Quick and easy alfresco and buffet dishes - to include chermola chicken with quinoa, tangy marinaded seafood, green gazpacho , desserts in a glass and lemon pavlova roll to eat for lunch followed by making your own summer flower arrangement with Joanna Keely

Saturday 29th June Simply Entertain 10.30 to 4.30 £99 A journey through fine dining at home! Menus with extra finishing touches that you can easily create at home. This course includes smoked salmon roulades with parmesan crisps and balsamic cherry tomatoes; salmon and lobster terrine with lemongrass jelly and pea shoots, pan fried tenderloin of pork with tarragon butter sauce, Rack of lamb with a herb crust, pak choi and jus, baked chocolate fondant with orange tuile and spun sugar, lemon meringue parfait with berries and a sugar cage. Make your own selection of Italian classics such as risotto, spaghetti marinara, gnocchi, cannelloni, and quick pasta dishes with sauces such as Quattro foramggio and tomato, using your own pasta. You can try your hand at stromboli or pizza or a dessert such as tiramisu or chocolate dipolmatico with cantucci biscuits, or torte di almonds. Which you will eat for your lunch

Simply cook – Simply cook breads & Pastry afternoon workshop combined 1-5 pm £65 2 for £120

Learn how to make traditional bread loaves and rolls, Rustic and savoury breads such as olive, walnut & gorgonzola, Stromboli and chorizo plaits, Quick sour dough cobs followed by shortcrust and sweet pastry for savoury and sweet pies, tarts and flans.

Wednesday 31st
Simply Fun: Children's cookery course 10 – 2pm £40 each, 2 for £75 Suitable for ages 10 – 15 years

Cook lunch from a selection of Thai chicken noodle soup, double baked cheese soufflé, chicken with lemon parmesan crumb served with vegetable risotto, pavlova roll with lemon or raspberries, chocolate terrine, followed by an afternoon of making cake pops or Macaroons

Thursday 5th
Simply cooking for students cookery for those going to University, college or working away for the first time 10 -3.30pm. £75

A journey through knife skills, food safety, store cupboard essentials, and then they will come away with at least a week of easy meals on a budget. Twenty or more ways with minced meats, pasta, sauces, chocolate mousse, homemade burgers and meatballs, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, risotto, pesto chicken, lasagne, and more. They will come away with a recipe pack to take away on laminated sheets
 

Saturday 7th 
Beginners cookery course and new to cooking, 10 – 2 pm £65 or 2 for £120

Aimed at those going away for the first time, students, getting married, cooking for one or two. Healthy and economical quick cooking
Learn how a make repertoire of 7 easy dishes to recreate at home or away. Learn how to recreate recipes using different ingredients, easy cooking but presented well, how to cook, meat, fish, vegetables, pasta and rice. Stirfries, soups and sauces to pies and pastries

Thursday 12th
Simply World pasta and Italian workshop 10 – 2pm £65 or 2 for £120

Knife skills, filleting and skinning flat, round, oily and white fish will be the first demonstration of the day. Quick and easy starters of mousses, tiâns and dips will be followed by cooking a selection of fish dishes such as Moules mariners, crab & langoustine beignets, sea bass & scallops with a leek veloute, 3 fish roast, sole Florentine, filo wrapped salmon, mackerel with chilli and ginger and prawns Provencal together with a dessert
 

Saturday 21st
Oriental cookery Chinese and Thai workshop 10 – 2pm £65 or 2 for £120

Stay away from the take away and cook a selection from beef in black bean, Cantonese chicken, Thai Curry, pad thai, chicken satay Thai crab cakes, teriyaki chicken, Singapore noodles and sweet and sour sauce and spring rolls

Thursday 26th
Simply Entertain Autumn Delights 10 – 3.30/4 pm with 3 course lunch £95 2 for £180

A day with using Autumn Carrot and thyme terrine with parmesan crisps roast garlic & sweet potato soufflé, duck with sloe gin and blackberry sauce, stuffed pork loin wrapped in pancetta with caramelised apples and black pudding, pannacotta with plum & damson compote, cinnamon and apple strudel

Make your own savoury breads in a loaf, plait or roll, plain or filled with chorizo, ham and cheeses, sun blush tomato, parmesan and basil or a rosemary and rock salt foccaccia. Then turn your hand to sweet delights such as brioche currant and honey bread and Chelsea buns. *One adult per child unless no supervision needed

Game terrine with pancetta crisps.
